A stop over in the heart of the Beaujolais region

That’s my slightly rose tinted version, in the summer one imagines you wouldn’t be able to bag a spot here for love or money, as it offers direct access to the river and a beautiful bathing lake a few steps away.

But on a cold and damp January day, the gray skies are painting a different picture, in fairness last night we shared the aire with at least 20 other vans, but they all had one thing in common.

With the main toll motorway running only a few hundred yards away, this has become an epic stopover, easy off and then easy back on the next day.

Of course, we didn’t ñpleave without a quick stroll around the stunning town, not sure I can’t say that for most of the another folks around us.
