Germany

Lake Chiemsee

For our last stop in the bavaren Alps, Germany, Paloma our motorhome is lake side.

Yes folks she has pride of place overlooking One of Germany’s premier spots. Known to local as the Bavarian sea. The fresh water lake of Chiemsee is huge.

Paloma is occupying a shaded corner spot, with her awning  rolled out fully trying to afford us some protection from the sun that is beating down. We are safely parked on the Bernau am Chiemsee (N47.830520 E12.386070) camper park.

The camper park, once again is living up to Germany high standards, with a recently refurbished service block, you even have the chemical loo emptying point inside a time locked room…. All this for just €6 a night.

This lakeside resort is buzzing, with everything from the local yatch club out in force, to holidaying tourist falling off  stand up paddle boards, lady that lunch to pic-nicking family’s.

A stroll around the lake side, filled the afternoon watching the world go by.

Sadly for Fred dog everywhere we seem to go today is littered with no dogs in the water signs.

The hot hot weather finally broke last night with a thunder storm to end all thunder storms, the lighting cracked all around the lake and thunder rumbled around the distant mountains, creating a feast for the eyes and ears.

Waking  this morning hoping for a drop in humdity, but sadly we were disappointed the humdity remains high, the sun is still shining  and we look to have another blue sky day ahead of us.

Paul.
